
We are looking for a talented Victorian Educator to join our board member, Sandy Allen-Craig, Australian Catholic University, as our two Outdoor Education Australia (OEA) representatives on their Committee. This is a voluntary role.
Please forward a letter of your Expression of interest, addressing the points below to ceo@outdoorsvictoria.org.au by Friday May 10. The OV Board will select the candidate who is the best fit for representing Victoria.
Each member of the OEA executive will:
i. commit to the intent of OEA
ii. commit to the development and implementation of the OEA Strategic Plan
- Strategic goals:
National outdoor education research, information and program database
Strong membership of state-based outdoor education organisations
Strong communication with members regarding national outdoor education issues
Strong voice in national matters concerning outdoor education
Communication with international outdoor education organisations
iii. work in a collaborative manner to ensure the success of the OEA Strategic Plan
iv. commit to a mutually agreed amount of resourcing each year to achieve the goals of the annual implementation plan
v. undertake to communicate on a regular, open and frank basis, and maintain confidentiality where appropriate
vi. meet at least once per year, face-to-face Travel costs are reimbursed. OEA quarterly Executive meetings via conference call can be called at any time during the year with a minimum of two weeks’ notice.
vii. elect from the OEA Committee members a Chair, currently the Chair is Peter Mc Kenna from Queensland.
